Toasted Turkey BLAT
Makes 2 Sandwiches
6 slices Hearty Bread
3 TBSP Mayo
12 Slices Prime Fresh Turkey
6 Slices Smoked Thick-Cut Bacon, Cooked until crispy
Freshly torn Green Leaf Lettuce, rinsed and dried
1 Ripe Avocado, sliced
1 Tomato, rinsed dried and sliced
How To Make
Toast the bread in a traditional toasted or in the oven on a baking sheet.
Arrange the bread over a clean work surface and divide the mayo evenly over one side of each slice.
Build two sandwiches by arranging the lettuce, tomato, turkey slices and bacon on the first lay
Top with a layer of toasted bread and build on further with sliced avocado, turkey slices and bacon.
Top with the final slice, mayo side down. Put a long toothpick in it to secure everything and serve.
Chef’s Notes: Add more protein power to this sandwich by adding slices of hard boiled eggs to the layers!
